Day 6 – 19th August – National Evening

The National Evening is also an integral part of the Edered. In small, mostly humorous scenes, the groups share interesting facts about their country. At our National Evening, there were plenty of opportunities for all participants to jump on stage and join in the dances.

The South Tyrolean group had also prepared a dance. Together with Mr. and Mrs. Mitterrutzner, the South Tyroleans performed the “Fröhlicher Tanz” (Happy Dance) and invited all participants to join in. The Mitterrutzner couple received a standing ovation for the Landler they performed. Perhaps it wasn't even the artistic figures they performed, but the loving glances they exchanged that enticed the audience into rapturous applause.

Auch der National Evening gehört fest zum Edered. In kleinen, meistens humorvollen Szenen erzählen die Gruppen Wissenswertes über ihr Land. Bei unserem National Evening gab es immer wieder Gelegenheit für alle Teilnehmer:innen, auf die Bühne zu springen und Tänze mitzumachen.

Auch die Südtiroler Gruppe hatte einen Tanz vorbereitet. Zusammen mit dem Ehepaar Mitterrutzner haben die Südtiroler:innen den „Fröhlichen Tanz“ vorgemacht und alle Teilnehmer:innen zum Mitmachen eingeladen. Das Ehepaar Mitterrutzner bekam Standing Ovations für den Landler, den sie vorführten. Vielleicht waren es nicht einmal die kunstvollen Figuren, die die beiden vorführten, sondern die verliebten Blicke, die sie sich zuwarfen, die das Publikum zu Begeisterungsstürmen verführten.
