Edered - Final Performance
Ten intense days are behind us – and with them, the international youth theatre project EDERED 2025. Eighty young people from twelve countries met in Brixen to make theatre together, forge new friendships and unleash their creativity across borders.
Under the guidance of experienced theatre educators, they developed a play on the theme of ‘Ain't no mountain high enough’, which was performed in front of a large audience at the Forum Brixen on 23 August. The performance was emotional, humorous and profound – a highlight that moved parents, guests and audience members alike.
In addition to intensive rehearsals, treasure hunts, rallies, parties, workshops and excursions – for example to the Plose or the Pfunderer mine – provided variety and unforgettable experiences.
People often asked how language works without words. Theatre does not live only from text, but from facial expressions, gestures, the body, space and the many arts that flow together in it. From this perspective, it becomes clear that no other art form is as suitable for connecting people across cultural boundaries.
The EDERED 2025 was an exceptionally harmonious meeting. The young people were motivated, curious and open to other cultures – so it was difficult to say goodbye, and there were many tears. The workshop leaders also found the collaboration an enriching experience: Different ways of working came together, from very traditional to free and participatory. The TPZ Brixen placed its trust entirely in the creativity of the young people – and was rewarded with a performance that thrilled the audience and participants alike.
EDERED 2025 has shown that no mountain is too high if you climb it together.

Zehn intensive Tage liegen hinter uns – und damit auch das internationale Jugendtheaterprojekt EDERED 2025. Achtzig Jugendliche aus zwölf Ländern trafen sich in Brixen, um gemeinsam Theater zu machen, neue Freundschaften zu schließen und über Grenzen hinweg Kreativität zu entfalten.
Unter Anleitung erfahrener Theaterpädagog:innen entwickelten sie ein Stück zum Thema „Ain’t no mountain high enough“, das am 23. August im Forum Brixen vor großem Publikum zur Aufführung kam. Die Performance war emotional, humorvoll und tiefgründig – ein Höhepunkt, der Eltern, Gäste und Zuschauer:innen gleichermaßen bewegte.
Neben der intensiven Probenarbeit sorgten Schatzsuchen, Ralleys, Partys, Workshops und Ausflüge – etwa auf die Plose oder ins Pfunderer Bergwerk – für Abwechslung und unvergessliche Erlebnisse.
Wie Sprache ohne Worte funktioniert, wurde häufig gefragt. Theater lebt nicht nur von Text, sondern von Mimik, Gestik, Körper, Raum und den vielen Künsten, die darin zusammenfließen. Unter diesem Blickwinkel zeigt sich: Keine andere Kunstform ist so geeignet, Menschen über kulturelle Grenzen hinweg zu verbinden.
Das EDERED 2025 war ein außergewöhnlich harmonisches Treffen. Die Jugendlichen waren motiviert, neugierig und offen für andere Kulturen – entsprechend schwer fiel der Abschied, der mit vielen Tränen verbunden war. Auch für die Workshopleiter:innen war die Zusammenarbeit eine bereichernde Erfahrung: Unterschiedliche Arbeitsweisen trafen aufeinander, von sehr traditionell bis hin zu frei und partizipativ. Das TPZ Brixen vertraute ganz auf die Kreativität der Jugendlichen – und wurde mit einer Aufführung belohnt, die Publikum und Teilnehmende gleichermaßen begeisterte.
EDERED 2025 hat gezeigt: Kein Berg ist zu hoch, wenn man ihn gemeinsam besteigt.
