GAME NIGHT
Game Night
You could hear laughter through the whole Astra and Forum while people were coming together, having fun playing birthday games that took us back to our childhood.
Hua!: At this fast paced game, fun is secured. Everyone is shouting through the circle - so you need a strong voice and most of all a quick reaction.
It’s a typical theatre game and thus perfect for us theatre kids.
Musical chairs: dancing on the stage to the beat of the music with lots of other people: sounds perfect? Well, there is a catch: as soon as the music stops you have to sit down on a chair otherwise you’re out. The problem? There is one chair too less. No matter if you’re fast enough or not, the vibe and rhythm of the music is contagious for everyone.
Topfklopfen: imagine going on a treasure hunt but being blindfolded. It’s quite funny to watch how people try to find the pot (full of gold?) but even when you’re the one searching you’ll have lots of fun.
Especially when the whole crowd is cheering for you, when you’re only a centimeter away from finding the pot. And then you can hear the sound when your wooden spoon hits it.
Newspaper: four people are standing on a newspaper and with only using two sheets of newspaper they have to cross the room. But be careful to not fall from the paper and step on the floor. To make it harder two groups are competing against each other: Who will be faster and thus the winner?
The chocolate game is a fast paced, funny game, where the result (getting to eat a piece of chocolate) is worth the stress. Because before you get to the tasty part, you need to put on gloves, a shirt and a hat. That makes it way harder to pull the bar out of the newspaper wrap.
Which game did you participate in and which one did you win? ;) But we all know: It’s the taking part that counts!
