Welcome here in Brixen to the 13th edition of the SAPPERLOT International Youth Theatre Festival.
We are soooooooooooo delighted that you are all here.
We had actually planned to present performances by 13 groups from Finland, Estonia, Denmark, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Romania, the UK and Italy, but unfortunately we lost touch with the Turkish group along the way. We’re thinking of you, dear Turkish friends! Instead, we’ve got the IATA-YOUTH group on board. What’s that, you ask? It’s 11 young people from all over the world – from New Zealand to Canada – who’ve come together here in Brixen to devise international youth theatre projects.
They’ll be joining us at Sapperlot as volunteers, writing these Sapperlot NEWS updates and much more besides. We’re absolutely delighted you’re here with us, dear IATA-YOUNGSTERS!
We’ve got a well-planned programme packed with exciting activities like open stages, parties, a world market, workshops and plenty of time to chill out and meet new people, whilst the best news team ever guides you through the festival.
The Sapperlot News will also keep you updated on the weather, the best ice cream parlours, typical South Tyrolean vocabulary, loads of other stuff and, of course, the funniest jokes about everything that’s happened, inside jokes and maybe even stories about the cutest couples everyone will be shipping.
Get ready for the best days of your entire life (unless you end up coming back to Sapperlot at some point, of course).
